The Journey Home gave me a second chance at life. The counselors, clients and staff taught me how to live. I went from being forced to be sober, to actually wanting a life full of sobriety. I learned how to cook, balance a check book, recognize and acknowledge my feelings, speak up for myself and the list goes on. I walked into The Journey Home broken, insecure and scared. I walked out of The Journey Home strong, confident and proud. The girls I met became my family. I am 4.5 years sober. I am now engaged, I own a house, I have a career, I am graduating from LSU in 1 year and most of all, I have loving and honest relationships with my family that I never thought was possible. I owe it all to The Journey Home. I am so grateful for everything they taught me.
In the 13 years I have been involved with the Journey Home I have seen this place save countless women from addiction. Great place to send your loved one.
The Journey Home, clients and staff, helped to save my life! I went in August of 2014 and have been sober (and living a better life) since that time. It helped me learn how to stay sober and live life as a productive member of society!
This place is amazing for bringing families together! I owe everything me and my family have to The Journey Home. Thank you so much!
The Journey Home saved my life and all my friend's lives. Because of this establishment, I have 5 years of sobriety, am a senior in college, have my own apartment, am a part of my family and happy. I am 24 years old. Without the Journey Home I would most likely be dead. This place is a the place to go if you need help.
How sad for Journey Home for the flooding☹️ Over 20 years ago, our dtr. was at Journey Home. She was addicted to all kinds of street drugs. She dropped out of school, had 4 felonies, was violent. She sold her body for drugs. She was fifteen at the time. She ran away several times. Journey Home saved her life. She adhered to Brenda's rules. She spent her college money in order to stay there. Today, she is drug free, and has two 4year degrees, in Psycology and computer prgramming. She lives with her boyfriend, in their own home. Her experience was worth every penny. She will tell you the same.😀.
